My Story

Scott Lockhart is a dedicated media professional with a BA (Hons) in Media from Robert Gordon University, graduating in 2013. Straight from Uni, he traveled extensively throughout Australia, gaining diverse experiences to enhance his storytelling and journalistic skills.

 

More recently, a Diploma in Professional Freelance Journalism, from the British College of Journalism, has been achieved in May 2025. He is also studying a Herpetology Course to boost his knowledge of all things reptile and amphibian.

With a rich background of Herptile care from a young age, Scott has reintroduced himself to the hobby by currently housing several reptiles and amphibians. Volunteering at RiverRescues Animal Sanctuary in Edinburgh, since August 2025, has further cemented his enthusiasm for Herptile care and writing.  

His passion for animal care, travelling and media continues to drive his career forward and catalysed the creation of the Journalistic Echo News website and logo in October 2025.
