Another annual herptile event is upon us as we celebrate15 years since the first-ever Venom Day.
Bangor University is the chosen amphitheatre for listening and speaking to the experts of venomous herptile species and toxicology. All day, today will be your chance to link with a host of researchers that are working and observing venom-producing taxa in the field of study. Lunch and breaks will be provided throughout so don't worry if you find yourself in awe at all of the information provided.
Socialising doesn't just happen from 8am to 7pm, there was also a special night outing for event-goers to get tongues wagging and enjoy a drink with old and new friends. After the event, there will be a chance to chow down on Chinese food at China Hot Chilli and money for that will be donated to the Save The Snakes charity.
Speakers, such as Dr. Balint Üveges and Lloyd Vaughan, will join a star-studded line-up to talk about the evolution of European viper venoms and genomics of hybrid rattlesnakes. They were announced via Instagram and Linkedin respectively.
